Elevator is seeking an Operations Intern for its location in the Old Market District in Downtown Omaha. This role is responsible for operational tasks, such as: On demand labor, packing inventory, mailing, coordinating pallet pick up/drop off, moving pallets to correct units, general building cleaning, mail and package delivery, and building maintenance. Elevator homes 90 small businesses, which utilize our space to expand their dreams and house their products. Products come in and out daily, and we are in need of a go getter to help our members do their best when it comes to operational logistics.

This is a great opportunity to join a growing team. The Operations Intern position reports directly to the Community Manager. The Community Manager and Operations Intern will work together closely to create the best experience for members and execute the day-to-day operations of Elevator’s Omaha location. The right candidate will be able to shadow professionals that align with their interest, as well as learn day to day operational care for a large commercial building.

Duties:
Perform day-to-day operations of the building: stock, clean, event setup/teardown, and assure the building is in tip-top operating condition.
Assist Community Director in their duties and projects as assigned.
Fulfill member requests, such as move pallets, pack, and assist with their business needs.
Deliver on positive member experience: respond to member requests and emergencies, and ensure Elevator is a welcoming place and fun for all members by delivering world class hospitality.
Oversee incoming and outgoing mail, parcel, and freight shipments.
Spackle and paint units and hallways as needed.
Coordinate and oversee building maintenance along with the Community Director and Community Manager.
Clean the dock area, recycle boxes, and remove trash.
Operate a freight elevator and pallet jack.
All other duties and tasks as assigned.

Strong ability to perform and keep a level head in the face of challenge, and a desire to collaborate and be a part of a team with an intentional purpose.
Highly customer service oriented. At Elevator, member experience is the top priority. Being approachable and professional is a must.
Problem solving. No member request is too big or too small.
Excellent communication skills.
Takes pride in maintaining a clean work environment.
Demonstrated history of resourcefulness and self-accountability.

Requirements:
Must be available to work Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM + occasional events outside of normal business hours as needed.
Must be able to handle physically demanding work.
Must be able to move about inside the building to deliver boxes, stock materials, assist members, etc.
Must be able to descend and ascend a ladder to service lights all around the building.
Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand and exchange accurate information in these situations.
Must be able to lift and move boxes weighing up to 50 pounds across the building for various needs.
