Park Ambassador – The RiverFront

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The RiverFront Ambassadors will serve as the face of front-line information and customer service for the RiverFront during peak operational/business hours. Duties include but are not limited to:
o Answering and/or referring client and visitor questions.
o Explaining and enforcing The RiverFront policies.
o Assisting guests with check-out of equipment such as art supplies, lawn games, etc.
o Promote the fun and excitement of the park and its various activities with an energetic tone.

The RiverFront Ambassadors are also responsible for all information kiosk operations, including:
o Will serve as brand ambassadors and are often the first point of contact for many visitors to The RiverFront.
o Provide Park information and facts, directions, and general advice.
o Refer visitors to the appropriate team if unable to assist the guest with a question or request.
o Maintain kiosk and surrounding area.
o Organize Lost and Found desk and restock supplies as needed.
o Notify custodial or operations team about any immediate needs.
o Other tasks as assigned

Work Schedule:
Shift Specifics: variable based on park needs (3 hour minimum).

Required Qualifications:
Being an ambassador for the RiverFront means you need to be a strong communicator and possess customer service and problem-solving skills. You will need to become very knowledgeable about the downtown Omaha area and what The RiverFront has to offer the community and out of town visitors. Information and training about The RiverFront will be provided upon employment.

Preferred Qualifications:
o Able to work a flexible schedule in an outdoor setting.
o Organizational skills with ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
o Excellent time management and the ability to follow through on assigned tasks with limited supervision.
o Professional attitude and appearance.
o Ability to work under pressure, recognize problems and find solutions.
o Ability work in a fast-paced environment.
o Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Work Environment:
Must be able to work in outdoor weather conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the ambassadors are regularly required to stand and walk for long periods of time. Must be able to work in loud and fast paced environments. Reasonable accommodations may be made to individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
