Job description:
The City of Council Bluffs is currently hiring for the position of Accountant I!
Mission: Our mission is to continuously improve the quality of life and attractiveness of the City of Council Bluffs.

Pay: $24.89/HR with step increases to $31.77/HR
Hours: Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. May occasionally be required to work nights and/or weekends.
Responsibilities: An employee in this class performs various general ledger accounting and financial reporting functions.
Requirements:
• Associate’s Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, preferred
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience performing similar duties
• Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work.
