Job description:
The Broker will be responsible for identifying approved carriers to transport goods in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner. Providing exceptional customer service to shippers, carriers, and dispatchers. Brokers negotiate rates, manage relationships, track shipments, and ensure that all freight is moved smoothly and timely while adhering to all industry regulations.
The ideal candidate for this position should have:
A high school diploma or GED.
A Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Work experience in transportation operations or logistics coordination is also preferred but not required.
Strong negotiation skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with exceptional customer service.
Work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Ability to stay organized while multitasking.
Effective interpersonal and collaboration skills.
Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and logistics software.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites.
