SEH is currently searching for a talented Natural Resources Scientist to join our team!

Our scientists, planners and environmental engineers at SEH are passionate about ecological restoration and invested in the environment around us. You may be part of the environmental permitting process, National Environmental Policy Act review, or a wetland study or delineation. Or you’ll find yourself involved in multi-million projects that require a wildlife study, or in a bog preserving wetlands, or in a prairie conducting a rare plant study and analysis. What you will be doing:

Wetland delineations and permitting (some travel required).
Wildlife habitat assessments.
NEPA documentation.
Assist with documentation for Environmental Site Assessments (Phase I and Phase II).
Assist with business development activities including preparing cost estimates, writing scopes of work, and communicating with clients.
Maintain an understanding of relevant state and federal environmental regulations and guidance documents through active participation in continuing education programs and professional associations.
Required Qualifications:

Experience with field wetland delineation and Section 401/404 permitting.
Understanding of state specific programs regulating surface water in Iowa, Nebraska, and Kansas.
Bachelor’s degree in biology, environmental science, geology, or other related science or engineering field of study.
Preferred Qualifications:

Project management experience.
Threatened and endangered species habitat assessments.
Ability to conduct wildlife surveys including migratory bird surveys.
HAZWOPER certification.

Base compensation is expected to be in the range of $79,000 and $95,000 based on skill set and experience. Check out our full benefits package at, SEH Hiring Journey
