Sources for candidates using appropriate recruiting tools.
Conducts interviews for prospective employees and efficiently processes applications and associated paperwork.
Reviews applications to ensure completeness and eligibility for hire or rehire, ensuring all appropriate information is included.
Analyzes, recommends and implements strategies to resolve staffing needs and turnover trends.
Develops and sustains relationships with key recruitment sources.
Determines recruiting strategy for open positions and places appropriate advertisements.
Conducts recruitment events and fairs.
Reviews training schedule and requirements with applicant, ensuring training requirements are understood.
Monitors applicant progress on pre-employment requirements, including health certifications, training completion, etc., and submits to appropriate liaison. Administers online new hire training database.
Conducts reference and background inquiries.
Knowledge & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred (an equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered).
At least one year of successful related experience.
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to function effectively in a fast paced environment.
Personal traits of a high-level commitment, motivation, energy, team orientation, professionalism, trust, personal honesty and integrity, and a demonstration of placing others in a place of high value.
General Areas of Accountability:
The incumbent must conduct business and personal affairs in a manner that is always a credit to the company.
Machines and Equipment:
The incumbent must be able to effectively operate the current computer system, telephone system, and other office machines such as copier and fax machines.
The incumbent must be able to finger, grasp, feel, see, sit, hear, and speak. This position is sedentary in nature with minimal lifting requirements.
The incumbent works in an office environment that is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions such as heat, cold, or extreme noise. Routine periods of being on the phone utilizing a headset, sitting and data keying are required.
