Classification: Part-time, Non-Exempt
Schedule: Performance-based (primarily nights and weekends)
Pay: $13/hour
Position Summary:
As front-line representatives of Omaha Performing Arts, the Food & Beverage Attendant provides exceptional customer service and ensures every patron has a safe, positive, and enjoyable experience while attending events at Steelhouse Omaha. The Food & Beverage Attendant performs a variety of duties while adhering to O-pa Core Values of Team, Inclusion, Trust, and Integrity.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform table service according to company service standards
• Perform opening/running/closing duties according to company service standards
• Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a courteous and polite manner
• Maintain line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through work area throughout shift
• Keep floor neat, clean, free of food, trash and other obstacles throughout shift
• Clean all spills immediately, use floor signs to caution guests and staff
• Put all trash and recyclable products in proper receptacles
• Clean and stock line to par throughout shift
• Keep current on all standard operating procedures
• Stay informed of current menu items and descriptions
• Follow private party service guidelines to ensure event success
• Assist other employees as needed
• Follow all safety standards
• Required to occasionally work Special Events that are scheduled throughout the venue
• As a representative of O-pa, required to adhere to organizational policies, including Harassment Policy, Drug & Alcohol Policy, and Tobacco-Free Workplace Policy.
• Attend any required development/training sessions
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications:
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Must possess basic reading and writing skills
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Must adhere to all safety measures and policies
• Must be at least 19 years of age
• Preferred experience working in a high-volume restaurant or event center
• Minimum Education Requirements:
• High School diploma or GED preferred.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
• None.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
• Requires acute hearing when providing patron service and advising of time constraints
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to work is a loud and noisy environment
• Requires occasional walking, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, bending, and squatting
• Physical ability to handle a Food Server's tray ranging in weight 20 - 35 pounds, repeatedly
