Lauritzen Gardens is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, credible individual to provide strong revenue growth via the recruitment and retention of new individual and corporate members for our not-for-profit organization. The ideal candidate must be business-minded, sales-oriented, willing to follow proven success methods and develop new sales strategies, as well as enjoy talking to potential members and corporate partners. The position will also require someone who can provide superior customer service assistance to members regarding utilizing their memberships to the fullest.

PURPOSE & AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
The Membership sales position recruits new, individual and corporate memberships as well as managing the scope of membership with retention of members at all levels being crucial to growing membership revenue each year. This position also manages a large existing database of current and lapsed members with accuracy and for information mining.
New member recruitment is achieved through individualized professional sales/phone presentations as well as by coordinating in tandem with a team of front-end visitor-center sales associates for direct walk-in sales on site. The membership sales manager will be in charge of monthly online and mail-based renewals for membership expiration reminders to members. Developing and managing current member relations through reacting to daily emails as well as managing exclusive member benefits and events is required. This position will also be in charge of the membership database.

Campaign development to drive direct and indirect sales

Job Type: Full-time
• Commensurate with experience
• Monday to Friday with weekends required for garden events as scheduled. Evening and weekend work may be required during peak membership drives or holidays due to increased membership sales.
• One direct report: database manager
• Bachelor\\\\\\'s (Preferred)
• Sales Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
• Blackbaud software experience a plus
• One location (offsite appointments and sales calls also required; mileage reimbursed)
