Organize and analyze products and material that are returned for credit. Ensuring items are accurate and in resalable condition. Documenting and photographing for records shared internally and externally as evidence and improve product efficiency and sales.

 

Position Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Inspect product and materials for accuracy and condition ensuring timely and complete credit is given to the customer.
Manually loads or unloads materials from pallets, skids, platforms, cars, lifting devices or other transport vehicles.
Measures, weights, and counts product and materials. Marks, labels, tags containers, or products using making tools.
Works closely with internal departments such as operations, customer service, technical support, sales, and management.
Separates products according to weight, grade, size, or composition of materials and bundle like items for further processing or restock. Counts finished products to determine product orders are complete.
Shape, cut, route, staple, nail, or join materials to specified measurements using hand tools, if applicable machines, or saws.
Preform quality checks on raw materials for defects or damage.
Mark prepared raw materials and neatly organize by job or run schedule so that they can moved to the next workstation.
Follow established safety rules and regulations.
Clean or maintain products, machines (if applicable), or work areas.
Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually. If applicable usage of hand trucks, pallet jacks, or fork lifts.
Stock prep area with products according to species, profile, or size.
Assist production line workers by supplying or holding materials or tools, or cleaning work areas and if applicable equipment.
General knowledge of reading work orders and using RF scanner.
Review schedules with shop foreman or team lead to ensure production deadlines are met adequately.

 

Education/Experience

Previous experience with stockroom/warehouse environment with building materials

 

Other Requirements

Must Pass pre-employment drug screen and physical
Work morning/evening hours during week and required weekends and overtime
Maintenance of regular attendance




Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Excellent Verbal & Written Communication
Basic math & measurement skills.
Comprehend and follow instructions communicated in written, oral and diagram form
Ability to concentrate and attend to detail amidst busy work environment
Ability to work as an individual and as a team to meet productions goals.
Willing to obtain other training if deemed necessary in performance of responsibilities and continuing education.

 

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Work is in a warehouse setting and may performed within a production environment, subject to temperature variations, hazardous chemicals, mechanical parts, increased noise levels and dust.
Employee must have clear, close vision for reading and computer/scan work. Must be able to safely squat/bend/climb, lift/carry up to 80lbs, push/pull up to 70 lbs., grasp, talk, hear, standing/walking for prolonged periods. Job may require reaching at or above shoulder level and below waist.
