Position Summary: The Community Youth Coach plays a pivotal role in NOCP’s Summer Youth Job Training programs. This individual is responsible for mentoring at-risk youth, guiding them through community service and field trips, leadership development (goal setting and conflict resolution), and a robust job training curriculum. The role requires a dynamic, compassionate individual dedicated to empowering youth through structured activities in small groups and lead classes.

Key Responsibilities:
Plan and execute daily activities for the Summer Youth Program, ensuring all events align with the goals of fostering community, developing leadership skills, and job readiness among participants.
Mentor youth participants, providing consistent support and guidance to enhance their personal and professional development.
Collaborate with local partners such as the Empowerment Network and the Urban League of Nebraska’s Step Up Program to secure resources and create more opportunities for youth engagement and employment.
Monitor growth and program success indicators, such as improvements in public speaking, networking, and engagement, and the quality of mentor-mentee relationships.
Engage families and community members as necessary in program activities to broaden the impact and support base for youth participants.

Experience & Education:
One to three years of work experience or equivalent education in Youth Development, Education, Social Work, or a related field.

Qualifications:
Strong preference for experience working with at-risk youth in a mentorship, coaching, or educational capacity, ideally within a community-based setting.
Proven ability to facilitate and lead engaging youth programs that focus on job training and civic engagement.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of fostering strong relationships with youth, families, and community partners.
Demonstrated professionalism when dealing with confidential information and commitment to the mission and values of NOCP, with a passion for making a significant positive impact in the lives of young people.
Must have at least a high school diploma (or equivalent) and be at least 21 years of age.
A background check will be required, verifying the applicant’s ability to work with minors and families.

Job Type: Fulltime, 1099 contract
Compensation: $44,000
Working Conditions:
Office-based role with primary working hours during 8:00AM to 5:00PM Monday to Friday. Some evening and weekends may be required
Routine physical demands include lifting up to 25 pounds, operating office equipment, sitting, standing, walking, and typing.
Benefits: Ineligible
Certifications/Licenses: valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
