Incumbent works under the direction of the Douglas County Clerk/Comptroller or designee, managing functional aspects of setups, integration, development, testing, training and processes of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications and reporting tools.

Compensation: $7,411.14 – $11,857.42/Month

Essential Functions:
Provide ERP financial management support for Douglas County and the Building Commission.
Create requested and approved reports using Discoverer, FSG, ADI, ERP Reports, Access and/or Excel.
Establish and maintain effective work relationships with clients, supervisors, County employees, elected officials, attorneys, law enforcement, judges, other agencies, and the public.
Comply with Civil Service policies and regulations, collective bargaining agreements, County policies, department policies and laws to create a cooperative, safe, respectful and quality work environment.
Create queries and reports based on user needs.
Assist in the creation of reports projecting financial impact and provide data to management.
Manage application setups for ERP applications.
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all ERP applications.
Manage functional aspects of development, upgrade and patching activities for ERP applications.
Manage testing of upgrades and patches, development of new processes/reports in the various instances of the ERP applications.
Provide training assistance.
Install new modules assisting with the configuration and setup.
Configure table layouts, user interfaces, menus and system interfaces.
Utilize SQL Developer, other tools and applications for upgrades, analysis and maintenance.
Assist in developing business processes associated with utilization of ERP applications.
Learn application processes understanding system interactions and performance requirements (e.g. accounting, payroll, human resources).
Analyze ERP applications ensuring maximum utilization and operational efficiencies.
Maintain job knowledge of ERP applications, research new features in proposed upgrades and make recommendations regarding upgrades and patches.
Work with City, DOTComm and Building Commission on ERP development issues.
Provide ERP support (e.g. user setups, profile options, default parameters).
Participate in meetings.
Review drafted collective bargaining agreements and Civil Service rule changes as proposed and assess impact to ERP applications and cost implementation of any changes.
Make recommendations to management regarding proposals based on assessments.
Log and monitor service requests with the appropriate entity ensuring resolution.
Analyze user requests for developing customized reports, consult with City/DOTComm/Building Commission users ensuring maintenance of identical processes for all entities, and making recommendations regarding requests.
Manage, coordinate and assist in the County’s year-end processing in the ERP applications, and produce all federal magnetic reporting for client departments.
Manage activities of ERP projects and grants set-up in the Grants/Projects application ensuring correct data is sent to the General Ledger, Accounts Receivable and/or HR/Payroll applications.
Serve as information source for promoting a standard of positive and professional governmental institutional image.
Ensure confidentiality of information in accordance with department policies/procedures, federal and state laws/regulations (e.g. HIPAA) and court orders.
Safely operate a motor vehicle when required to travel on County business.
Report to work at assigned location with regular, consistent attendance.
Perform other duties as assigned and directed.

Education and Work Experience and Other Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in Information Technology, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field required.*
Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in accounts payable, accounting, accounts receivable, fixed assets, payroll or information technology required.*
Five (5) years of ERP applications; payroll, time and labor, and related modules experience required.
Valid driver’s license and own transportation upon hire and maintained throughout employment required.
*Equivalent combination of education and work experience may be substituted for requirements on a year-for-year basis.

Work is generally performed in an office setting. Noise level is usually moderate. Work hours are typically standard day-shift hours; however, schedule may vary (e.g. extra hours, weekends, holidays, emergency call-in). Work requires some physical activity, including extended periods of sitting, frequent reaching, and occasional standing, walking, balancing, kneeling, and bending. Work also requires the ability to frequently lift and/or carry objects weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
Required sensory abilities include vision, hearing and touch. Visual abilities, correctable to normal ranges, include close, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Communication abilities include the ability to talk and hear within normal ranges. Incumbent must also possess the hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate computers and other equipment.
