Starting Pay: $18.50/hour
Seasonal / Summer Only
Training: May 26 – June 1

Summer School: June 2 – July 29
• Full Day: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM (No Fridays)

• Half Day: 12:30 PM – 3:30 PM (No Fridays)

Looking for a meaningful summer role where you can guide, mentor, and support youth? As a Summer Youth Supervisor, you’ll lead young people through work, recreational, and academic activities that build life skills—while ensuring a safe, positive environment every day.

What You’ll Be Doing:
• Provide leadership and supervision of youth during work-related, recreational, and academic activities
• Ensure safety, appropriate behavior, and positive peer relationships
• Train youth, monitor progress, and communicate updates with appropriate personnel
• Follow safety policies, report concerns, and participate in required training
• Perform activities in both indoor and outdoor settings

Who We’re Looking For:
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 20 years of age required. Age requirement may be higher based on site location, local contracts, or Federal/State contract requirements.
• Previous experience with youth care preferred
• Individuals who can communicate professionally and maintain confidentiality
• Strong leaders who can guide youth, redirect behavior, and build trust
• Those able to make sound decisions in sensitive or high-risk situations
• Knowledge of the Boys Town Model is a plus

Physical & Safety Requirements:
• Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments
• Adherence to all safety, boundary, and mandated reporting requirements

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS, EQUIPMENT USAGE, WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Reasonably expected to have and maintain sufficient, agility, and endurance to perform all job requirements (including stressful situations physically, mentally, and emotionally) encountered on the job without compromising their health and well-being or that of their fellow employees, youth, or families. Must have sufficient ability to see, hear, speak, and mobility (including standing and walking continuously for extended periods of time) to monitor youth, assist and perform daily household chores, complete work assignments, and participate in activities with youth. Subject to outside environmental conditions (including wind, rain, extreme heat, drastic temperature changes) frequently and inside conditions occasionally. Includes constant interruptions, inappropriate behaviors, and the potential for verbal and physical threats from youth.
