Position Profile
Position Title: Support Staff
Reports To: Assistant Site Director and Site Director
Employment Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)
Position Summary
The CLC Program Support Staff plays a vital role in the successful implementation of high-quality after-school and summer enrichment programs at designated Community Learning Center (CLC) sites. Under the direction of the Site Leadership Team, this position supports student engagement, safety, and development through structured programming aligned with the Urban League of Nebraska’s mission and Omaha Public Schools’ standards.
Essential Responsibilities
• Assist with the implementation of age-appropriate academic, recreational, and enrichment activities as directed by Site Leadership.
• Maintain active supervision and engagement with students during all program hours, ensuring a safe and positive environment.
• Support the preparation, organization, and cleanup of program spaces and materials daily.
• Accurately document and maintain attendance records, incident reports, and other required documentation.
• Foster positive, respectful relationships with students, OPS staff, ULN staff, families, and community partners.
• Demonstrate consistent behavior management practices and model appropriate social behavior.
• Participate in professional development sessions, team meetings, and all required training.
• Contribute to the planning and execution of special events, including family engagement activities and field tips as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Assistant Site Director or Site Director.
Minimum Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED required, associate degree or college coursework in education, youth development, or related field preferred.
• Previous experience of one year (volunteer or paid) working with school-age children or youth programs is strongly preferred.
• Ability to pass a background check and complete the required safety and compliance training.
