Temporary positions are not benefits eligible.

Incumbent works under the direction of the Department Coordinator or designee, printing, packaging, and organizing ballots and equipment for the Election Office.

Compensation: $17.50/Hour

Essential Functions:
Print, package, and organize ballots for early voting and Election Day.
Set up election equipment, prepare election materials, and organize supplies.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, supervisors, County employees, elected officials, attorneys, law enforcement, judges, other agencies, and the general public.
Comply with Civil Service policies and regulations, collective bargaining agreements, County policies, and laws to create a cooperative, safe, respectful and quality work environment.
Report to assigned location with regular, consistent attendance.
Perform other duties as directed and assigned.

Education and Work Experience and Other Requirements:
Six (6) months of experience using computer programs required.
Must have excellent organizational and communication skills.
Must possess strong attention to detail.
Must be team-oriented.
Must be a registered voter or eligible to register to vote.

Work is performed in an office setting. Noise level is usually moderate. Work is generally performed during standard day-shift hours; however work hours may occasionally vary (e.g. evenings, holidays, overtime). Work may be stressful when dealing with multiple priorities and time constraints.

Work requires some physical activity including extended periods of walking and standing with occasional climbing, reaching, carrying, balancing, kneeling, crouching and bending. An incumbent must have the ability to frequently lift and/or carry objects weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Required sensory abilities include vision, hearing and touch. Visual abilities, correctable to normal ranges include close, distance and color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Communication abilities include the ability to talk and hear within normal ranges. The incumbent must possess the hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate computers and other equipment to perform the essential functions.
