Job description:

Lead the Parts Department by providing the highest level of external and internal customer satisfaction while maximizing return on investment through parts sales, inventory control and expense control. Attracts, retains, and effectively coaches Parts Department personnel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Leads Parts Department to achieve parts metrics and goals to achieve financial performance that is aligned with overall dealership financial and operational objectives
Work with the Parts and Product Support GM to identify growth opportunities
Monitors parts sales to assure achievement of budgeted sales and profit goals
Help develop and implement a twelve-month continuous parts promotion and advertising program coordinated with Service and Sales Department promotions
Promote use of manufacturer programs to further parts sales to external customers.
Maintain an accurate and effective parts inventory control system that includes proper counter procedures to achieve management’s goals for percent fill customer service and inventory turnover
Make maximum use of all appropriate order discount programs.
Submit all warranty claims and return claims within the required time frame to receive maximum credits allowed
Resolve customer complaints relative to parts with a focus on customer satisfaction and retention of all customers. Eliminate the cause of customer complaints whenever possible
Control and maintain proper lead communication to promote follow up calls and additional parts business
Conduct a perpetual or annual physical inventory of all parts and related inventories.
Maintain all departmental tools, equipment, and vehicles in good working order
Wear closed toe shoes and dress appropriately to work indoors as well as outdoors
Perform other duties or functions as so directed by management in line with the objectives of the dealership
Qualifications and Experience
Dealership parts and service sales experience
Dealership management experience
Experience with Komatsu and/or Takeuchi Equipment
Expertise in employee development and retention
High Level of Self-Motivation and Sales-Drive
Detail Oriented with Strong Organization Skills
Skilled in Priority Management and Goal Completion
Skilled in Communication via the Phone, Email, and in Person
Working Conditions

Warehouse environment: Dressed to work indoors as well as outdoors. Close-toed shoes are required.
Education and Experience

Experience in warehouse and inventory management
Competent in utilizing technology
Mechanical aptitude and experience in heavy equipment industry required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
