Incumbent works under the direction of the Director of Outpatient Services or designee, managing the daily operations of the Day Treatment Program for the Community Mental Health Center (CMHC).

Compensation: $5,494.56 – $8,281.41/Month

Essential Functions:
Manage the functional areas of the Day Treatment Program, providing timely and quality service for clients.
Establish and maintain effective work relationships with clients, supervisors, County employees, elected officials, attorneys, law enforcement, judges, other agencies, and the public.
Comply with Civil Service policies and regulations, collective bargaining agreements, County policies, department policies and laws to create a cooperative, safe, respectful and quality work environment.
Supervise and assist assigned staff (e.g. training/orienting, scheduling, monitoring, evaluating performance, recommending personnel action).
Promote a safe working environment through various activities (e.g. education, review of safety policies, enforcement of safety procedures).
Recommend improvements to existing programs and participate in long-term planning.
Monitor patient progress and effectiveness of the groups.
Assist CMHC staff resolving patient crisis and service concerns.
Complete Bio-Psych-Social assessments of patients.
Perform therapist functions for assigned cases.
Ensure records comply with established standards and applicable accreditation guidelines.
Review charts, ensuring documentation is properly recorded.
Participate with other health professionals in the development of policies and procedures.
Serve on CMHC committees and groups.
Provide Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training to staff.
Manage the Day Treatment program admissions process.
Coordinate with the Staffing and Billing Specialist ensuring accuracy of agency bills and invoices in a timely manner.
Perform quality assurance activities.
Report to work with regular, consistent attendance.
Perform other duties as assigned and directed.

Education and Work Experience and Other Requirements:
Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work required.*
Three (3) years of community behavioral health care or counseling required.*
One (1) year of supervisory experience required.
Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) required.
Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (LMHP) required.
Completion of a pre-employment criminal record check and conditional offer drug screen required.
*Equivalent combination of work experience and education may be substituted for requirements on a year-for-year basis.

Work is generally performed in a psychiatric care facility and in a correctional facility. Noise level is usually moderate. Work hours are typically standard day-shift hours; however, schedule may vary (e.g. days, shifts, holidays, weekends, overtime/extra hours, emergency call-in). Work may be stressful when dealing with time constraints, multiple/changing priorities, limited resources and uncooperative/irate individuals.
Work requires some physical activity, including extended periods of walking, standing, frequent reaching, and occasional climbing, carrying, balancing, kneeling, crouching and bending. Work also requires the ability to frequently lift and/or carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Incumbent must have the physical ability to protect oneself and control combative or disruptive persons.
Required sensory abilities include vision, hearing, and touch. Visual abilities, correctable to normal ranges, include close, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Communication abilities include the ability to talk and hear within normal ranges. Incumbent must possess the hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate computers and other equipment.
