Unify Union Pacific\'s systemwide workforce through strategic communications across multiple channels that build trust and pride; amplify wins connecting company priorities with progress; and promote and protect Union Pacific\'s brand. This role requires a communications professional skilled in both written and video communications. Job responsibilities include creating and executing integrated communication plans; filming and editing video for internal and external media channels; writing and editing materials for a variety of audiences and channels; building relationships at all levels of the company; and planning and coordinating corporate communications events, including monthly town halls and the railroad\'s annual Leadership Conference. Responsible for developing plans and materials to support Union Pacific\'s business strategy and goals. Accountabilities Provide effective project management leadership and consultation to develop communication plans for internal departments, work groups and company initiatives using media platforms such as online media, print, video and social networking Write and edit various materials , including fact sheets, brochures, web content, emails, video scripts, presentations, speeches, news stories and other materials as required Liaison with in-house and external designers/vendors to develop communication materials and ensure consistent application of brand standards and effective reputation management while achieving deadlines Initiate improvements in departmental procedures to increase production quality and efficiency for communication services and materials Organize and help coordinate special events associated with communications initiatives Coordinate and execute video and photo shoots; edit and produce final video for internal and external media channels Use communication and video expertise to translate corporate strategies and goals into compelling storytelling via videos shared across a variety of internal/external channels Understand target audiences and adjust narrative to appeal to each through easily digestible content. Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Required A Bachelor\'s degree Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) skills Experience working in a studio environment; operating studio and cinema cameras; and using basic three-point lighting techniques 3 - 5 years experience in communications Proficient computer skills including editing video with Adobe Premiere and photos with Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop Experience executing internal corporate communications strategies and events Expert writing, editing and proofreading skills Confident communicator and presenter able to present concepts verbally Excellent organizational, planning and problem-solving skills Demonstrated experience in change management and strategic thinking Preferred Experience with live streaming platforms, including RMTP destinations and stream keys, and experience with live switching hardware and HDMI and SDI conversions Experience with Adobe After Effects, video compression and codecs Experience using Wirecast software Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital media/social media Physical Requirements Able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee will spend extended hours in front of a computer screen Work Conditions 18 years of age or older Travel 25% of the time Benefit information can be found under the Benefits section on up.jobs (https://up.jobs/why/benefits/index.htm)
